How to adjust the saw blade

Why is it that after replacing the saw blade with a new one, it is not as effective as the old one? Based on user feedback, the common issues are burrs, loud noise, and uneven cutting surface. What could be the reasons behind these problems? Below, I will explain the causes of such situations and how to solve them.

Reason one: Spindle aging and wear; before replacing the saw blade, check the spindle for any excessive runout. If the runout exceeds the acceptable range, it will cause the saw blade to deflect, resulting in burrs on the workpiece. In this case, it is necessary to stop the operation promptly and replace the spindle.

Reason two: Foreign objects on the flange; as the name suggests, foreign objects on the flange refer to aluminum shavings or dirt on the press plate that secures the saw blade. If the saw blade is not properly installed, it will cause burrs and loud noise during cutting. Therefore, I suggest everyone to check the flange to avoid repetitive mounting and dismounting of the saw blade.

Reason three: Sufficient lubricant; before installing the saw blade, proper preparation is necessary. Lubricant is an essential part of this process as it reduces friction between the saw teeth and the workpiece, resulting in a smooth cutting surface without saw marks. Additionally, it helps extend the lifespan of the saw blade.

Reason four: Timely replacement of particle boards that have been worn and deformed due to prolonged processing. If the particle boards are worn, it will cause the workpiece to shift position after cutting, leading to the saw blade significantly touching the material during the retraction process, resulting in burrs.
