The grinding fluid effect on the tool grinding

1. Grinding fluid characteristics: lubrication, cooling, degreasing, cleaning, rust prevention; it can effectively clean the surface and remove diamond powder and tungsten powder generated during grinding to improve surface smoothness and prevent burning of the tool.

2. Oil-based grinding fluids are mainly composed of mineral oils and are suitable for high grinding temperatures. However, they have poor degreasing ability and cannot clean the grinding surface in a timely manner. A large amount of diamond and tungsten powder is generated between the grinding wheel and the workpiece, resulting in poor smoothness of the tool surface. A large amount of manpower or ultrasonic cleaning is required after finishing, and they are not suitable for grinding alloy circular saw blades.

3. Water-based grinding fluids are mainly composed of chemically synthesized surfactants, which are suitable for efficient grinding. Inorganic salts in water carry positive and negative charges as ions, forming an adsorption layer on the surface of the grinding wheel and the workpiece to timely wash and cool the dirt in the gaps of the grinding wheel. They are affordable and highly effective.
