Holiday machine tools and tool maintenance

1. Before the holiday, make sure to clean the entire machine (including the system, bed, main spindle cooling system, tool changer transmission parts, etc.). Remove the tool holders from the tool changer and apply rust prevention treatment, then package them individually in clean boxes.

2. Apply rust prevention oil to the workbench surface, main spindle, and the three-axis telescopic cover to prevent rust and maintain accuracy. Clean any oil stains and debris near the Y-axis motor under the column. Open the protective covers of the X and Y axes with an M5 Allen wrench for cleaning, then apply rust prevention oil to the lead screw.

3. Check the oil level of the lubricating oil and top up manually lubricated parts with lubricating oil to ensure good lubrication of the machine's mechanical components.

4. Due to the long shutdown time, the three axes should be moved to the middle position before turning off the machine to achieve a balanced stress state and avoid uneven force on the castings affecting accuracy.

5. Use stickers to seal the air filter and fan in the control cabinet to prevent moisture-related electrical component failures due to humid weather.

6. Take measures to prevent rodents from damaging the machine tool circuits in the production workshop.

7. Ensure that the power, air, and liquid supply to the workshop are completely shut off.

8. After the Spring Festival or a long period of machine tool inactivity, check the power supply voltage of the machine tool. Only after the voltage has stabilized for about 10 minutes after turning on the main power switch, can the machine's power switch be turned on, followed by other power switches inside the control cabinet.

9. After restarting, do not start machining immediately. Preheat the three axes and the main spindle, and let the main spindle idle for at least half an hour.

10. After restarting, check the oil level of the hydraulic system, coolant level for tool cooling, and check if there is any water or oil in the compressed air filter.
