The wheel rotation speed and linear speed are both terms used to describe the speed at which the wheel rotates.

Their units are different: the unit for rotation speed is rotations per minute (rpm), while the unit for linear speed is meters per second (m/s).

The conversion formula between the two is:

Linear speed (m/s) = π X wheel diameter (mm) X rotation speed (rpm) / 60 / 1000

Rotation speed (rpm) = linear speed (m/s) X 60 X 1000 / π / wheel diameter

With the same linear speed, the difference in wheel diameter will result in a significant difference in rotation speed.
