The alloy round saw blades produce a variety of rust and cannot be ignored
①Sandblasting corrosion:
Usually, 36# silicon carbide sand is used for sandblasting at a distance of about 6kg pressure. A long sandblasting time and coarse sand particles can easily spray the burned area, causing damage to the metal surface structure or serious unevenness, resulting in a rough surface. This can lead to water accumulation and metal oxidation on the sandblasted area (the phenomenon of rusting caused by air moisture erosion during sandblasting is not understood).
②Rust on the substrate caused by grinding or polishing:
The smoother the metal surface, the better its rust resistance. The main reason for rust on the substrate is that during grinding or polishing, there is not enough cooling water to flush away the iron powder or sand particles generated by the grinding. Low-quality grinding wheels or sand belts can cause severe sand loss during grinding. During grinding or polishing, the sand particles and the grinding wheel or sand belt on the workpiece generate a sanding process, which scratches the metal surface and forms star-shaped white spots. This is one of the fundamental sources of rust. After grinding or polishing the substrate, the workpieces are not separated from each other, preventing sufficient air drying. Additionally, the cooling or polishing fluid does not have enough rust prevention ability, causing rust to occur on the workpieces during the process.
③Errors in the drying or marking process:
Insufficient drying of the saw blades after cleaning, gloves containing moisture, or not wearing gloves causing the alkalinity of hand sweat to react with the metal workpieces and contaminate them. The workpieces are not thoroughly cooled before being oiled and wrapped in plastic bags, resulting in the production of water vapor after cooling, which reduces rust prevention ability. Alternatively, the edges of the adhesive tape are subjected to severe rusting for a long time in certain humidity conditions.
④Moisture not removed from the rust preventive oil:
Any oil contains a certain amount of moisture, which must be boiled at a high temperature of 200 degrees for 15 minutes and then cooled to eliminate the moisture in the rust preventive oil. Dry sponges are used to thinly coat the metal surface with oil. If the oil contains moisture, the rust prevention ability will decrease even if attention is paid to the plastic bags. In particular, the rust prevention ability of No. 50 or manganese steel is the worst.
⑤Alloy saw blades with hard chrome plating not only enhance the strength and hardness of the substrate, but also have anti-rust and anti-sticking functions. However, the cost is high and they are generally used in industrial applications. In particular, ultra-thin saw blades have a wide range of uses.
